How often should you do Pilates?

If you love Pilates, whether on the mat or on the equipment, the sweet spot for most people is two to three times per week.

This will allow you to see the most changes in your body in the least amount of time.

It can be a mix of mat Pilates, reformer Pilates, free Pilates workouts on YouTube or on the Speakeasy website, or doing your own thang at home with a tried and true Pilates book.

Doing Pilates two to three times per week is the sweet spot

What I love about Pilates most of all--and I've been doing it for a long, long, long time--is that it is what I consider foundational fitness.

This refers to movements and principles that build core strength, mobility, stability, and body awareness that you need for more advanced physical activities.

Pilates creates a strong base, improving functional movement patterns, and preventing injury.

It's is a fantastic complement--nay, enhancement--to other forms of fitness, whether running, climbing, volleyball, golf, dance, or tai chi.

Whatever physical activity you love most, a foundation in Pilates can help you love it even more.
